Why would you want to make a vision board on Pinterest? I’m glad you asked.
Everyone needs motivation. Whether it be to go to make dinner, send an email, or even just getting out of bed.
Life tends to get tedious and boring so naturally we lose the enthusiasm for life.
Only if there were something to remind you of your dreams and aspirations so you can feel a bit more excited about where life is taking you.
That’s where a vision board comes in. A vision board is a collage of photos meant to excite and motivate you to achieve your dream life
Most people think it takes hours of effort to create a vision board but they can take only a few minutes with the right plan.
Get ready, because you are about to learn how to make a vision board on Pinterest in minutes so you don’t waste hours making one by hand.
Create the Board on Pinterest
First, we need to create the board on Pinterest so we can add all the fun and motivating pictures later.
Assuming you have already made an account on Pinterest, just go to your profile page on Pinterest.
Once you navigate to your profile it should be a screen with your user picture and all your boards.
Click on the + button near the top right corner of the screen. Once you hit the plus button there should be a drop-down menu giving you the option to create a board or a pin.
Go ahead and click “Board” to create a new board.
Now you have the freedom to name this board whatever you would like. I just named mine Vision Board example because I already have a vision board on my account.
But go crazy and title it whatever you want.
Once you have your name you can go ahead and hit the create button.
Typically when you create a new board a pop-up will ask if you want to go ahead and choose some pins based on what you titled your board.
You can go ahead and skip this step and hit done.
Side note: You are able to make your board secret (not public) by editing the board settings. Just a note if you want to be the only one that sees the board.
Now give yourself a round of applause because you are the proud new owner of a completely empty Pinterest board.
Lol, now let’s move onto the next part of this tutorial so we can fill up this Pinterest board with inspiring images.
Vision Board Ideas
Now it’s time for the fun part. Adding the pins to our new vision board on Pinterest. It’s time to take all of your future plans and create the BEST visual tool to keep you motivated.
I am going to give you some topic suggestions that I think would be great to pin to your board.
After that, you can add whatever else you want to make it your own.
Dream Car
Dream cars are always fun to put on a vision board. Some people know right off the top of their head what their dream car is but others have no clue.
If you already know what type of car is your dream car you can go ahead and type that in the search bar.
For all my people that don’t know you can type something a bit more vague in the search bar like “pink luxury car” or “black convertible.”
Now just scroll through the results and try to find something that fits your future vision.
After you find your dream car you can go ahead and save that pin to your board so you can be reminded where your life is headed.
Dream House
I don’t know about you but I love looking at pictures of houses on Pinterest.
They are so aesthetically pleasing and I hope one day I own a Pinterest level house. That being said, they have earned their spot on this vision board.
So I recommend typing “dream house ideas” into the search box or if you have a more specific idea in mind you can search that instead.
Find a couple of house designs that are breathtaking and pin them to your digital vision board.
Personal Goals
This step will look a bit different for everyone. We don’t all have the same goals and aspirations.
We are going to put some of your personal goals on your vision board so you can start trying to achieve them.
These can be fitness goals, cooking goals, mentality goals, or career goals.
I will use myself as an example so you can get a better idea of what I am talking about. I have some yoga goals I want to achieve soon so I am going to pin some yoga inspiration pictures.
So think of some personal goals you want to achieve and search for some inspiration photos.
Travel Dreams
A majority of people wish they were on vacation everyday. I mean it sounds like a great life, right?
I am often dreaming of tropical beaches but instead, I’m in windowless lecture halls. But enough about my issues.
If you want to stay motivated during the day I suggest you put some dream travel locations on your vision board. It will definitely excite you for life after graduation.
Like I have said before you can type in a location you have in mind or type in “travel dreams.”
I like tropical beaches so that’s what I am going to pin to my board.
Dream Activities
There has to be something you love to do that you don’t get to do often. It could be swimming, hiking, kayaking, surfing, paddleboarding, you name it.
We are going to put these dream activities on the board. Go ahead and look up the activity and find a picture that inspires you.
Affirmations/Motivation Quotes
This may be one of the most important things you can add to your vision board. These motivational quotes and affirmations are a serious morale booster.
Plus, Pinterest is known for quotes so you will find some great quotes.
Go ahead and find a few memorable quotes and save them to your board.
Conclusion
You now have a fully functioning Pinterest vision board that only took a few minutes to make.
Now you can open this up whenever you forget why you work hard everyday. It’s so you can achieve your dream life.
I suggest you look at your vision board every morning so you can keep your eye on the prize.
As always feel free to comment and tell me some other things you want/have added to your vision board to help motivate yourself.
